I've got a few tests this week. Not much fun. If I were one of these ducks on the Red Cedar, things would be so much easier- just hang out in the water, relax, flap my wings every once in a while, and call it a day. But instead, I've got 2 midterms this week, a Career Gallery to go to, studying and much more homework to do.

It looks like it's going to rain- I wouldn't mind it.

I took this photo the other day, walking between classes. There's a large part of the campus that's just an old style, and it looks a lot better than the rest of campus. Regardless, Michigan State must have one of the most beautiful campuses in the nation. Especially during the fall, I can't wait.

Wow, sorry for the tremendous layoff in the whole Photo A Day thing. I moved back up to State about a month ago, and never took the camera with me. The good news is that I've got it now and I'll get back to updating this more regularly, like daily. Which makes sense.

The above photo was taken from atop the Shaw Lane Parking Garage one morning. But anyway, there will be more photos to come.

I have a good excuse, really- I've been really busy as of late, working in Brighton on this project that they just threw at us. Nobody knows how to do anything, so we're learning as we go. I'll try to get a photo up here each day, but it'll be hard given my schedule.

Montreal - Notre Dame Cathedral

This is actually the second church, the smaller room of the two within Notre Dame Cathedral in Montreal. Whereas the larger room is darker and more somber, this church (might even be a chapel) is gilded with gold everywhere, and is very bright. The main work behind the altar seems like it was completely sculpted, which is incredible because of its size.

Well, this is unintentionally turning into an every other day kind of thing. Problem is, I wake up at 6 every morning, go to work until 4:30, and then end up doing more work at home, so I never have any time to post photos. Hopefully I'll get back to the every day style, but I'm just not sure.

A Saturday Flashback

I took this picture last winter while walking around campus for some unknown reason. The former Library & Museum at MSU is located on the older, more historical part of campus. There are some nice buildings there, and for as old as they are, they're in great shape. Then again, they should be, seeing as how we're paying an arm and a leg to go there.

This guy was pretty sweet. Not only did he swallow fire and juggle machetes, he also had a great sense of humor. Kind of reminded me of comedian Dane Cook. He probably drew at least 300 people to his street performance. Hope he got good money.

I'm guessing this is a residential building, or a nice hotel. Either way, it's a really nice building. I like the rounded towers on the corners, it definitely makes the place blend in a lot more with the church architecture and the rest of Old Montreal.

Happy 4th of July, Canada Day, what have you. Just got back from Montreal a couple of hours ago, and it's good to be home. This week will probably be filled with photos from the trip. We'll start off with this one, a statue of an Iroquois Indian, one of four smaller statues surrounding Maissoneuve, the founder of Montreal. The statue itself is located right in front of the Notre Dame Basilica. I thought this was definitely the best one of the four.

Well, this one is actually a couple weeks old. The neighbor was cutting his grass the other day when he stopped short of a hole in his lawn. Turned out that there was at least 7 baby rabbits just kind of hanging out in this little nest. They're all gone now, but it was definitely cool to see them growing every day.
